It is only January 19th but even after the searing storm force winds that howled up the Loughor Estuary in the last two days, we have Daffodils beginning to bloom. However, we shouldn’t be too complacent that the winter is finished, because last year on March 1st, we had snow!

Someone I know was having occasional visits from individual members of a family of mice. Being a kindly sort of a chap, he bought a ‘Humane mousetrap’, in order to be able to remove each uninvited guest from his home without harming it.

We compost just about everything possible … vegetable peelings, trimmings of leeks & caulis, dead flowers, lawn clippings, the contents of the Dyson, tea bags, egg shells (mashed) etc etc Mother Nature does a great job for us and breaks
