		<description>Based on what I have read in the British media, I'm inclined to guess that the author of the chain email is a well intentioned individual whose emotions overwhelmed them as they read the intial news stories.  It's true that a number of teachers and schools in the UK (and journalistic accounts do not make clear how widespread this situation had been) had chosen to drop the topic of the Holocaust from the curriculum for fear of having conflicts with students and families who had strong anti-Semitic and Holocaust denying beliefs.

However, almost immediately after this phenomenon had become known to the general public, the outcry was such that Holocaust education has now been strengthened in UK schools.</description>
