New speed restrictions pending

At long last, Swansea City & County Council are about to install traffic calming measures, a pelican crossing and a 20mph speed limit in Frampton Rd, Gorseinon.

This is necessary because it is a busy road passing a primary school.   However, we don’t think it will make a lot of difference to the standard of driving in the area unless it is combined with a permanent speed camera.

In today’s unusual conditions, though, not even a camera could deter some of the local “children” who came out to play in the snow!

If you click the picture, it might grow a little!

    Hi Lesley –

I enojy visiting your Blog & dip into it whenever I get the (rare) chance. Aware that you’re a regular visitor to Stoney’s Blog & therefore obviously enjoy reading about the (ahem) ‘simpler’ life I just wanted to extend an invitation should you ever fancy a visit to our little Dairy.

We’re only about an hour away from you; & if you’ve got any children who love animals then they’d be welcome to visit to do help with bottle-feeding our gorgeous little goat kids once they’re born (mid-March approx). And they could also meet the Shetland ponies & have some of our lovely gelato (luxury ice cream)!

Drop us an email if you’re ever intending an excursion to the Carmarthen area, we always enjoy meeting like-minded souls.

    Best wishes,

Jo, Tony & LittleFfarm Dairy/’Lovespoon’ menagerie.
