One of our favourite charities is the Welsh Air Ambulance
They recently announced that the third ‘Helimed’, based in Mid Wales, has just been made permanent, thanks to the continuing efforts of fundraisers around the Principality.
This is indeed excellent news as it means that now everyone who needs it has access to expert assistance and early and direct transfer to a hospital, despite the remoteness of a great part of Wales. However, the service is only kept going by the aid of voluntary fundraising.
We often see the familiar red helicopter and it gives a warm glow to know that we are, in a small way, helping to keep it in service.
